Setting up a repeater bridge with DD-WRT and D-Link DIR

We are trying to make a wireless repeater mesh so people in an area can all get wifi from one source. HOWEVER, it's proven to be a bit daunting because we have some special circumstances. what should i put in local DNS on the repeater bridge setup->basic setup. everything else is filled. also under setup-> advanced routing gateway has been set to router for the secondary repeater bridge router. dynamic routing interface is set to disable and the entire static routing table is left blank, leaving a number of 0.0.0.0 entries. But, If you have a cat-5 cable going from the first router (LAN port) to it, you should be able to plug it into the WAN port on the 6400 and set it to bridge mode instead.
